BLUE LAKE DOCTRINE

In the late 1980s the Pale Horse Coven, linked with author David Farren (Living with Magic and Sex and Magic, both published by  Simon and Schuster), functioned in the Los Angeles area.  It represented a Wiccan tradition that utilized  ancient Celtic mythology with a mixture of Native American and Asian (especially Tibetan) practices.   A fictional portrayal of the Wiccan scene in Southern California  in that period is presented in the novel Mendaga's Morning, now available in its first American edition.
